Empowerment of Minds Learning Centers is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization with a mission is to educate and empower businesses who focus on families and communities in underserved areas with programs and services that improve educational, employment and social outcomes reducing disparity and stigmas.

Our Leadership

Sandra Ferguson

CEO & Founder/ Executive Director

As a Professional Business Consultant, Author, Grant Writer and Program Developer with a passion for entrepreneurship. Sandra holds a MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Strayer University and a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Sociology family counseling from Morris Brown College. Her financial management background extends from working as a mortgage professional, licensed realtor and most recently as the Chief Financial Officer for five years for a local religious organization. Sandra has held memberships the American Grant Writers Association, Pro-Literacy Foundation, NAACP DeKalb Chapter; former board president of DeKalb Council on Literacy and an advocate for growth and development of businesses that provide and uplift the community.

Our Vision

Since 1994, EOM has provided programs and services throughout Metro Atlanta and abroad.  Instrumental in obtaining funding from Federal, State, and Private funding sources, organizing business packages for churches, childcare centers, women shelters, literacy organizations, parks and recreations; training & developing healthy food initiatives, GED and Adult Literacy programs for churches and community based organization. Technical support that provides nutrition and health and wellness resources to improve access to underserved families. Creating online educational programs for highschoolers in Liberia during the pandemic, educating k-5 for summer reading, improving health and wellness among pre-teens and teenagers; and healthy food options for pregnant mothers.
